Star Bédard was founded in 1978 by France Bédard Bourdon and Gaétan Bourdon. It is the result of the acquisition of the house Étoile de beauté located in Ville St-Laurent, then of the one, in 1989, of the Maison Ulric Bédard ltée located in Quebec City. It was in 1994 that the owners joined forces to form a single company under the umbrella name Star Bédard.
Over the years, the company has expanded both in terms of the coverage of its territory, as well as in terms of the offer of its products and services. We are currently counting close to of 240 employees, about 20 representatives and 24 stores.
Today, this business continues to be owned and managed by the Bourdon family through two sisters, Marie-Christine and Marie-Danielle. Their goal is to remain the leader in the hairdressing industry through innovation and boldness. This is also one of the reasons why in 2020, the family business changed its name to Beauté Star Inc
